Vicki Fenster - Cameo Club President

As President of Cameo Club, I wish to welcome you to the
Ms Missouri Senior web site.
I am responsible for the activities of the Cameo Club and preside at their monthly meetings. Every year the members work hard to bring you a beautiful pageant, interesting program and entertaining show. During the year the members present a Showcase variety show throughout Missouri and donate money to many charities.
After the Pageant, all contestants are eligible to become members of the Cameo Club.
Any talented senior ladies, 60 years or older, are invited to participate in the pageant in 2009 and then join our very active Cameo Club.
Vicki also is chairman of the decorations for the Pageant stage
and is shown here on the stage July 2008.

2009 HOLIDAY GRATITUDE Twas our holiday party,
and I’m at it again, reflecting on the past two years, where do I begin? First I want to thank
you for the faith in me you show, I’m
proud to have another term as does our board of Cameo. We’ve accomplished a
lot as we fulfill our dream, of giving back, making friends, with a beautiful
new Queen. As we continue onward,
cherished thoughts of yesterday, so proud of our Sr. America club, the best in
the U.S. of A. So now it’s time to
acknowledge those for whom it’s apropos, you all represent the elegance of a
jeweled Cameo… First to cite, she’s
State Director, and my BFF Jan Barrett, she works so hard behind the scene with
brains and talent 24 karet. A whiz on computer, her
cookies the best, for all they do appeal, Conscientious, and
wise, takes all jobs and does a mean cartwheel! For her work in making
out Pageant great, I’m saying “merci beaucoup”, so Jan I say “you keep goin’
girl’ and I have a gift for you. Our co state Director, with a voice like an
angel, our club has been her cause, capable, caring, has done it all, you know
it must be Joan Daues. She’s had so many jobs,
and she’ll do so much more, that I can only want an encore! And now my right hand,
my mentor, my guide, so proud to call her ‘friend’, talented five foot two eyes
of brown,, on her I really depend. With so many causes and
so much talent, to me the meaning of a ‘queen’, she’s taught me a lot,
including tap, my hat’s off to you Marcene! “G-d Bless America” she
says, and I say G-d bless Sue, she’s
caring, she’s willing, calm and warm, at times she’s my ‘guru’, She fills in when
asked, and at Pageant time, she’s truly competent. And I’m so very fortunate, to have Sue as
Vice-President. “Huston, we have a
problem”, I said, I think that you can solve it, “I think I can, I know I can,
just need some time to dissolve it…. She accepted the job,
to record all our minutes, publicity as well, Thank you Sharon for taking this
on, I knew you would excel…. For most of my term,
there was someone else, taking minutes with a flair, with saddened hearts, we hope she knows, for
her we really care. She enhances all at
Pageant time, she herself looks like a
model from Paris, with a job well done, hope for more to come, with all our
love Sue Harris! She contacts
prospective showcasers, she’s our go to to get things done, relates the
birthdays, keeps track of shows, in short, a phenomenon. She’s a ‘bonnie’
lassie, committee chair, decorator, and to me she’s a Queen, Doing lots of shows,
and coordating her crew, thank you Bonnie Bernstein. She’s in charge of our
money, great with the figures, handling all our checks, totaling, adding,
keeping it straight, she surely has my respect. Her giggle infectious,
while she handles our ‘dough’, so the Pageant has funds and our charities grow. Looking great in a boa,
while our interest increases daily, who
else could have these assets, but our Treasurer Jan Boehle? This is your board,
these members, who strive to keep Cameo Club well run And this is why
Missouri is second in size, look out # 1! And to all Committee
Chairpersons, who eliminate our tension,
to each of you, I offer thanks, you deserve this honorable
mention…..(gifts) And all of you, each
person here, are so important to me, without your interest, your talent your
input, where would our Cameo Club be? Just like the gold
chain (open gifts) you’re each a star, a link in a special chain, if broken we
fail, so I’m almost done with this corny
old refrain. Thank you again, I will
do my best, to make the next years ‘ DY-NA-MITE’, Merry Christmas, Blessed
Kwanza, Happy Chanuka, and now I bid you good-night! Love, Vicki
12th of December 2008 Gratitude
Twas the 12th of December, and here at our meeting,
we're here to remember, and eating and greeting.
It's one year for me, a year so fulfilling,
of learning and working with all who are willing.
I value each of you, your talent, joie d' vie,
How can I show you what you mean to me.
Each member's a jewel that shines like a star
So I'd like to show you how special you are.
To begin with our Board just seems apropos,
they're elegant, rare, like a fine cameo.
First: Since she was Queen she's alway been, a leader and a guide
She molded us into a first rate club, with husband Ken at her side.
She's still co-State Director, but she's my Santa Claus,
She put Mo. on the map, That could only be Joan Daues.
(When I came to this club 7 years ago, she did everything. State Director, Showcase chairperson, Parade Chairperson,
etc etc etc. She wore so many hats I never knew which was appropriate. Believe me I know, cuz when I was secretary, when I said Joan Daues, I never knew which title which hat to use at the time. Trust me I was corrected and have warned every Secretary since. I always thought that if Joan ever went into a phone booth she would come out with an "S" on her chest. So Joan, I've created this just for you.
And now co-State Director who is also my best friend,
There is not a soul more capable that I would recommend.
A "mavin" of rules, at the computer so wise,
accepts every job, cross our T's, dots our I's.
Her talent, her brains as a friend 24 Karet,
you know I'm referring to our own Jan Barrett.
No better counselor for guidance, even if I had picked it.
She's alway been there to help me, she is my Jimminy Cricket.
For such a busy lady, many jobs for her, so petite,
For Cameo, Strutters, teaching & more--just watch those dancing feet.
I'm grateful that she's still in my life, since youth to me a Queen,
How special she's my Right hand gal, you know I mean Marcene.
With that sweet face, kind heart, she is so competent,
How lucky I am to have her, as my Vice-President.
Like wading in an ocean, or underneath a palm,
Just to hear her speaking, always makes me calm.
beauty, brains, a heart , a glow, she never is condemning,
My pot of gold in a bright rainbow, none other then Sue Lauber-Fleming.
The diva of fashion, of style, of dance moves
great at any job she takes, noone could improve.
She styles our hair, make-up too, like a painting by Monet,
ready to face the world, on our big Pageant day.
Her minutes complete, her reading is fun,
If I'd choose a steno, she'd be the one.
This fabulous female, fun to share "schmoozin"
Ms. Harris, my friend, A.K.A. Susan.
She sends cards for birthdays, and she corresponds,
coordinates shows above and beyond.
Looks good in red when she sings from "Cabaret"
Keeps our Cameo Calendar, always up-to-date.
She dances in shows, does a great tambourine,
Of whom am I speaking it's Bonnie Bernstein.
She's in charge of our monies, never gets frantic
very vital to our team,. like Rudolf to Santa.
She accepts all the checks, keeps track of our dough,
so the Pageant has funding, and charities will grow.
Her giggle infectious, her feet tapping gayly
So glad to befriend her, she's our own Jan Boehle.
Thus, the board, my "cabinet" who keep this club well run,
that's why Mo's well known, so close to # 1.
And to all committee chairman, who eliminate our tension,
Each of you, you deserve, a cameo honorable mention.
And all of the members, officer or no, you're important to me,
without your talent and input, where would Cameo be?
Like links in a chain, like spokes on a wheel
if broken, we fail, end of my 'spiel'.
So thank you all, this year a delight,
with love everyone, and to all a good night!!!!
